Still workin' on a soccer post, but how about the Halloween pictures in the meantime?
Is it just me, or is Halloween turning into another one of those holidays that is really supposed to just be one day but feels like it goes on and ON and on?? At least this year I did NOT eat a million gajillion fun-size Kit Kats. Thank you to the executive that decided that the Kit Kats this year should be orange. They tasted like garbage. That gives me a head start on the holiday battle-to-not-gain-10-pounds-this-year!
Grandma sent her annual Halloween Happy Box. It did make the kids happy. I did enjoy the shortbread cookies. :)
Our church always does a "trunk or treat" (trick or treating in the parking lot at various cars instead of knocking doors) every year, this year a week before Halloween. It was massive and the kids had a blast. I stole a couple of pictures that our Bishop posted on Facebook, since these are the only ones I have this year of rest of the family.
Ryan continued the tradition of a wig-costume and was a leprechaun this year. I did not get my costume inspiration until too late and couldn't find what I wanted, so it'll have to wait til next year.
Josh and his best buddy William. I told the kids that this year I was not buying costumes, they would have to come up with their own from our vast supplies. Josh was also not really inspired until too late, so oh well.
MeeMee and Don came to town for the Halloween weekend. MeeMee made Halloween treats with the kids, including these monster finger/pretzel thingies. They made good soccer game snacks for this momma a few days later. :) (This post sounds like I've been eating junk nonstop for awhile now!)
Don also got this one of my nutty girls.
Since Halloween fell on Sunday this year, a friend from church put together a Saturday night trick-or-treat route for some of us to take our kids. My girls opted to be kitties for that night (they had used other costumes on the church party night). I tried to get a few pictures of them before we left, but they are WIGGLY and this was the best I could do.
Ryan and Josh went with some other friends to the UT game that night instead. Too bad UT is on a roll for stinky games lately, but they had fun anyway!
I keep waiting for my kids to get tired of Silly Bands, but it hasn't happened yet. The official trades, the arguing over whether tradebacks are allowed, deciding to be generous/deciding to be stingy, hunting down specific types of Silly Bands (only to discover that Lesley has discovered a new kind and now my kids REALLY NEED SOME OF THOSE). Reminds me of those stupid plastic charm necklaces from when I was in middle school.
I think I want some.
